Equipped with a Pentax k1000 his father left behind once passing, a few rolls of 35mm film, and no clue what he was doing, Allen began on a journey to learn what some may assume was a natural gift.   He’s always had a desire for expression, having had a few of his poems published while still in elementary school, but who would have thought that photography would be the natural progression of that expression.   Allen Cooley is now based in the heart of Atlanta, GA where he focuses his efforts on perfecting his craft as a fashion, entertainment, and portrait photographer. He does this all while juggling his duties as an adjunct professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he received his Master of Fine Arts Degree.  He steadily travels between California, his birthplace, and NY, where he was raised, making a strong effort to widen the scope of his brand and his creative eye. Having now worked with some the entertainment industries brightest stars such as; Toni Braxton, Raven Symone, Chilli of TLC, Tatiyana Ali, Brandy Norwood, and the list goes on Allen Cooley shows what drive, passion for what you do, and determination can afford you. On his ever-growing list of occupations, one he feels very dearly about is being an educator. He makes it a point to learn his craft thoroughly so he can be an asset to this industry that he feels so greatly about and has received tremendous joy and fulfillment from.
